Antique cast-iron fire plate

‘t Achterhuis has a continuous collection of 250 antique cast iron firebacks. These are also called cast-iron backplates and their function is to reflect and radiate heat and protect your stone bricks. Usually these plates are in perfect condition. Antique plates with a crack are restored by our own blacksmith.
