’t Achterhuis has an ongoing collection of 250 antique cast iron hearth plates and floor plates. These are also referred to as cast-iron fire plates with the function of radiating heat and protecting your stone firebox and floor. Usually, these plates are in perfect condition. Antique plates with a crack are restored in our forge.
